Why do we need Dental Scaling?

Dental Scaling is a dental tool that uses for cleaning and eliminating plaque and tartar (calculus) existing between and around the teeth.  This will not only prevent teeth and gums diseases, but also protect other oral diseases.

What will happen, if not having Dental Scaling?

If not having dental scaling, the dental tartar will become plaque accumulation and will be a source of growth for various Pathogenic bacteria (bacteria that can cause disease).  This causes many health problems such as gums (gingival) recession, loose teeth, bad breath, bleeding gums, gingivitis (gums inflamed) and periodontitis (gum disease). 

How often should Dental Scaling be done?

At best, you should visit dentist at least 1-2 times a year to checkup your dental health and having dental scaling.  In this regard, the dentist will tell you a diagnosis and consultation on the appropriate way of dental care, which will depend on the condition of individual’s teeth.

Good oral health care are not necessary mean seeing dentists only whenever there are problems with your teeth and oral.  It means that you should checkup regularly, in effort to prevent and explore some treatments as soon as possible.
